Billing
Plans, usage credits, and what everything costs.
Plans
Your subscription belongs to your organization and covers everyone in it. Each plan sets how many projects you can run, which deploys you can make, and how much usage credit is included every month:
- Free — $0: 1 project. Build and preview in a sandbox, publish one static app (with a Spaceboy badge), use the CLI & API, run agent tasks in parallel, and get $2.00 of usage credit every month. 1 GiB of library storage.
- Starter — $10/month: 3 projects, $5/month in usage credits, full-stack deploys, badge-free static deploys, custom domains, app credentials, and 100 GiB of storage.
- Pro — $30/month: 10 projects and $10/month in usage credits, with 250 GiB of storage and priority support.
- Team — $40 per seat per month: unlimited projects, $15/month in usage credits per seat (pooled for the whole organization), 1 TiB of storage, bring-your-own integrations, and the organization audit, runs, and chats pages.
- Enterprise — $60 per seat per month (5-seat minimum): everything in Team plus SAML SSO with enforced sign-in, spend budgets and a model allowlist, log export, a click-through DPA, annual invoice billing, $20/month in usage credits per seat (pooled), and 5 TiB of storage.
Every plan is available monthly or annual — annual saves about 17%. Annual subscriptions still receive their usage credits monthly.
Every platform limit in one placeWhat the Enterprise plan includesUsage credits
Beyond the subscription, the work agents and infrastructure do for you is metered in usage credits — dollars of prepaid balance on your organization. You hold two pools: plan credits, granted fresh every month by your subscription (they top up to your plan's amount and don't accumulate), and purchased credits, added by top-ups (they never expire). Spending draws plan credits first, then purchased credits.
Your live balance is always visible in the workspace's credits pill and on the Usage page, which also shows every charge and grant as a line item. Before expensive work starts — like a project setup build — Spaceboy shows you the estimate and checks your balance first.
What uses credits
- Agent runs — billed by each run's model usage. Runs on your own Cursor API key (bring-your-own, Team plan and above) are never debited.
- Workspace sessions — the machine your live preview runs on: $0.25/hour, per started minute.
- AI generation — platform AI like turning your project description into a design draft, plus deployed apps' model calls through Spaceboy's AI gateway (keyless AI), metered by tokens and images. Apps running on your own OpenAI key are billed by OpenAI instead and never debited.
- App builds — iOS builds at $0.12 per build-minute, Android at $0.02, and platform-managed CI at $0.04 per job-minute (CI on your own GitHub is never billed).
- Deployed environments — a flat $10/month for each provisioned environment (one with a database and backend). Static deploys are free.
- Storage and traffic overages — database storage at $0.25/GiB-month beyond the allowance, auth and app storage at $0.20/GiB-month beyond each project's included space, library storage at $0.10/GiB-month beyond your plan's included space, and network egress at $0.20/GiB beyond 10 GiB/month.
Top-ups and auto top-up
Add credits any time from the Usage page or the credits pill — $10 to $1,000 per top-up, charged to your card through Stripe. You can also switch on auto top-up: whenever your balance dips below $5, Spaceboy adds $20 automatically so long-running builds never stall mid-flight.
What happens when credits run out
At zero balance, new agent runs, sessions, and deploys pause until you top up — the app you've already deployed keeps serving. Because metering happens after the work, a small negative balance is normal and nothing to worry about. If the balance falls far enough (about −$25), live sessions are stopped, and deployed environments that can no longer be paid for are warned, then suspended after 3 days (your app goes dark but its data is kept), and torn down after 14 days. Topping up and redeploying restores everything before teardown.
Billing emails — suspension warnings, credits received, auto top-up failures — are always delivered; they can't be turned off by notification preferences.
Upgrading
Upgrade at any time from the Billing page — changes take effect immediately, so you can go from sandbox to a live production app in minutes. When your app needs a database or auth on the free plan, the Deploy button takes you straight there. Invoices, payment methods, and receipts live in the Stripe billing portal behind Manage billing.
Enterprise billing
Enterprise is priced per seat with a 5-seat minimum: you're billed for your member count or 5 seats, whichever is larger, and the quantity adjusts automatically as invites are accepted and members are removed — just like Team. Each seat brings $20/month of usage credits into the organization's pooled balance.
Enterprise can also be bought without a card: choose Pay by annual invoice on the Billing page and Spaceboy creates a Stripe invoice with net-30 terms, emailed to your billing contact. The plan activates immediately — procurement pays the invoice on its own schedule.
The Billing page is also where an owner accepts the Data Processing Addendum for the organization — a versioned click-through, recorded with who accepted which version and when.
